•We wish to thank you for last weeks Offertory Collection which amounted to €1,452 and the Share Collection which amounted to €977.

•We wish to thank those of you who have already returned your Christmas Dues. Acknowledgement of these will be posted to you in due course.

•We wish to draw your attention to the brochure containing information on our parish’s Child Protection Policy. This publication is available at the entrance doors to the Church, on the Church bookrack and in the Parish Pastoral Centre. We urge parents, who have not as yet collected a copy of this important publication, to take one home with them today. A full copy of the Child Protection Policy is available in the Parish Office and can be viewed on the parish website.

•The Bethany Group will have their monthly support meeting in the Parish Centre on Monday next, January 26th at 7.30pm. All those who have suffered loss of any kind are welcome to attend this meeting which will be for one hour’s duration. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like to attend training to become a minister in the Parish’s Bethany Bereavement Support Group.

•The parish Bethany Group wish to bring to your attention details of a Residential Weekend for bereaved people which will take place in Orlagh College on the weekend commencing Friday 20th February. Further details of this weekend are on the church notice boards.

•We wish to offer our condolences to the families of Marie Austin from Dundrum Rd. and Margaret Phelan from Clonskeagh Rd. Their funeral Masses took place in our church during the last week.

•A housebound parishioner who lives in the Whitebeam area of the parish would like to attend Mass here on Sunday evenings. Perhaps a fellow parishioner from this area could kindly offer to bring this lady to Sunday evening Mass. Please contact the Parish office for further details.

•The local Focolaire Community are endeavouring to set up a Children’s Singing Group normally on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday of each month. Parents are welcome to talk with the organisers of this Parish Liturgy after one of these masses.

•The January meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council will be held on Tuesday next, January 27th.

•Following the positive response to last week’s notice re providing a Yoga Class in the Parish Centre, we are pleased to announce that a Yoga course will commence on Thursday February 12th at 3pm. This course will run for 9 weeks, ending on April 9th. The cost for this course is €140. If you are still interested in attending please confirm your booking in the Parish Office.

•The A.G.M. of the Milltown Parish Active Retirement Association will be held in the Parish Pastoral Centre at 2.30pm on Tuesday, February 10th. All members are encouraged to attend.

World Day of Migrants and Refugees


•We wish to thank you for last weeks Offertory Collection which amounted to €1,456 and the Share Collection which amounted to €964.

•We wish to thank those of you who have already returned your Christmas Dues. Acknowledgement of these will be posted to you in due course.

•We wish to draw your attention to the brochure containing information on our parish’s Child Protection Policy. This publication is available at the entrance doors to the Church, on the Church bookrack and in the Parish Pastoral Centre. We urge parents, who have not as yet collected a copy of this important publication, to take one home with them today. A full copy of the Child Protection Policy is available in the Parish Office and can be viewed on the parish website.

•There are details on the Church notice boards regarding a seminar on ‘Facing up to Suicide’. This lecture will take place in Swords next Tuesday night at 7.30pm. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like to travel with others to this talk.

•You are invited to attend a service to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. This service will take place at 3pm on this Sunday January 18th in Sandford Parish Church, Sandford Road, Ranelagh.

We wish to thank you for last weeks Offertory Collection which amounted to €1,242 and the Share collection amounted to €837.

•This Sunday, January 11th, is the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. The 11.30am Mass on Sunday will be a community celebration for all the children who have been baptised here during the last year.

•You are invited to attend a service to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. This service will take place at 3pm on Sunday January 18th in Sandford Parish church, Sandford Road, Ranelagh.

•We wish to thank those of you who have already returned your Christmas Dues. Acknowledgement of these will be posted to you in January.

•A gold bangle was found in the church on Christmas day. If you have lost this piece of jewellery please contact the Parish Office.

•We wish to offer our condolences to the family of the late Edward Devitt from Patrick Doyle Rd, who funeral Mass took place here last Wednesday morning.

•Booklets for Minister of the Word are available for collection in the sacristy.

•Last Sunday some parishioners received parking fines for parking on the double yellow lines directly outside the entrance to the church. We wish to remind you that there are parking places available to Sunday morning Mass attendees in the car park under the Parish Pastoral Centre and the ‘Wilde and Green’ shop. Entrance to this car park is between the side of Wilde and Green and St. Brocs.

•Please let the Parish Office know if you are interested in attending Yoga Classes. We have sourced a new yoga teacher who will, in February, commence a Thursday afternoon class if there is sufficient number of people interested in enrolling.

Parish Baptisms took place in the church on Saturday. We welcome Salla Kirk and Evelyn Fuller into our Christian community and congratulate their parents.

We wish to thank you for the following collections. Last weekends Offertory Collection amounted to €1,130 and the Share collection amounted to €753. The Christmas Day Offertory Collection amounted to €3,349 and the Share collection amounted to €2233.

•The Vigil mass for the feast of The Epiphany of the Lord will take place on Monday evening at 6pm. Masses on Tuesday are at 10 &11.30am and 6pm.

•Families who have had children baptised here during the last year will, during the coming week, receive a written invitation to attend a special community celebration of their children’s Baptism. This celebration will take place at the 11.30 am Mass on Sunday January 11th, the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.

•You are invited to attend a service to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. This service will take place at 3pm on Sunday January 18th in Sandford Parish church, Sandford Road, Ranelagh.

Weekly Bulletin 6th & 7th December

Saturday & Sunday, December 6th and 7th, Second Sunday of Advent

·We wish to thank you for last weekend’s collections. The Offertory Collection amounted to €1485 and the Share collection which amounted to €999.

·Monday next, December 8th, is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mass on this feast day will be at 10am, 11.30am & 6pm.

·The Annual collection for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will take place at all Masses next weekend. This will replace the Share collection.

·Additional Ministers of the Word and Ministers of the Eucharist are required for Saturday and Sunday evening Masses. Please contact the Parish Office if you are interested in becoming involved in either of these ministries.

·We wish to draw your attention to the new selection of Advent Books for sale on the church book stand. There are books and booklets both suitable for adults and children.

·If for health reasons you cannot receive the Eucharistic Host, you are welcome to come to the altar with the Eucharistic Ministers and receive the Chalice.

·There are some copies of the Milltown Chamber Choir Christmas C.D. and Christmas card available for sale on the book rack and in the Parish Office.

·The Christmas edition of the Milltown Parish News will be circulated next weekend. If you have some free time next Friday morning perhaps you would be kind enough to help get this publication folded and ready for circulation. This task will get underway in the Parish Centre on Friday morning after 10 am Mass.

•The Annual Christmas Celebration of Light for those bereaved through suicide will take place at 4pm on Sunday, November 30th in St. Patrick’s College Maynooth.

Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Universal King

‘LIFE AFTER LOSS’
Christy Kenneally, Broadcaster and author, will give a talk on ‘Life after Loss’ on this Monday evening, Nov. 24th at 8pm. This talk will take place in the Parish Church. All welcome to attend.

We wish to thank you for last weekend’s collections. The Offertory Collection amounted to €1356 and the Share collection which amounted to €913.

•There are forms and envelopes available at the back of the church if you wish to place the names of your deceased family members, relatives and friends, on the annual “Altar Lists of the Dead”.
The 10am Mass on the First Friday of each month is dedicated to those whose names are on the Parish Altar List of the Dead.

•The Parish Pastoral Council will have their November meeting in the Parish Pastoral Centre on Tuesday next, November 25th at 7.30pm.

•We wish to draw your attention to the new selection of Advent Books for sale on the Church book stand. There are books and booklets both suitable for adults and children.

•If for health reasons you cannot receive the Eucharistic Host, you are welcome to come to the altar at the same time as the Eucharistic Ministers and receive the Chalice.
