World Communications Day
•We thank you for last weeks Offertory Collection which amounted to €988, and the Share Collection which amounted to €1,177.
•We welcome R.T.E.’s Cor na Nog choir who will sing at the 11.30 Mass this weekend.
•We congratulate the pupils from Alexandra College who received their First Holy Communion in our church on Saturday morning.
•Please let one of the Priests, Sacristans or Parish Office know of any parishioners who may wish to have Holy Communion brought to them in their home.
•The local Focolaire Community are endeavouring to set up a Children’s Singing Group in the parish. This group will participate in the 10am mass on the 2nd & 3rd Sunday of each month. Parents who are interested in their children becoming involved with this singing group should speak to one of the organisers.
•The Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from September 7th – 12th. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like to join with the Parish group travelling on this pilgrimage.
•Our Parish Flower Arrangers Guild urgently requires some new members. Please contact the Parish office if you are interested in becoming a member of this ministry. If required, new members will receive training.
•A Callanetics class (exercise based on ballet and yoga) has commenced on Wednesday mornings in the Parish Centre. This is the only Callanetics Evolution class in Ireland and is renowned for the fast results it gives. Please contact: 087-9242438 or callaneticsireland@hotmail.com.
•The Bethany Group will have their monthly support meeting in the Parish Centre on Monday next, May 25th at 7.30pm. All those who have suffered loss of any kind are welcome to attend this meeting which will be for one hour’s duration.
•Next Monday night, May 25th, the Parish Baptism Team will meet with the parents of children who are to be baptised here next Saturday 30th May.
•The Milltown Parish Local History Society has arranged an outing to the site of the Battle of the Boyne and Nowth from the New Grange Centre on Wednesday June 10th. The bus will depart at 9.30am from Milltown parish Centre and costs €20 per person. Bookings for this outing can be made in the Parish Centre.
•We wish to remind engaged couples that a minimum of three months notice of your wedding is required by the parish in which each of you reside prior to your marriage.
The Parish Social Justice Group have arranged a Bring and Buy Cake Sale which is taking place after Sunday Morning Masses this weekend. Proceeds from this sale will be donated to Cara Malawi (www.caramalawi.com) for its work in the Kaphuka Village area. All are welcome to take part in our first Cake Sale in the Parish Centre. Your support is greatly appreciated.

•We thank you for last weeks Offertory Collection which amounted to €1,000 and the Share Collection which amounted to €791. This weekend’s Share Collection will be replaced by a collection in support of Dublin Diocesan students who are preparing for Ordination to the Priesthood.
•We wish to offer our condolences to the family of Dympna Davis from South Hill. Her funeral Mass took place in our church on Thursday last.
•Mr. Michael Barry, Chairperson of the Parish Pastoral Council, will give a presentation on the parish’s current financial situation at all Masses this weekend, May 9th & 10th. A detailed information sheet will also be distributed to parishioners at the end of each Mass.
•On Friday next, May 15th, pupils from Alexandra College will be confirmed in our church. Morning Mass on Friday 15th will be at the earlier time of 9.30am. There will be no Mother & Toddler gathering on this day as the pupils, together with their parents and teachers are invited into the Parish Centre after the ceremony.
•Student Mass. The 11.30 am Mass on Sunday next, May 17th, will be offered for all students who are sitting exams this summer.
•We remind parishioners to return their Trocaire Lenten boxes either directly to Trocaire or to the Parish.
•We wish to thank those of those of you who have already returned your Easter Dues. These donations, together with contributions to the Family Offering, will be acknowledged at the end of the financial year.

The sisters minister to and work with those displaced by war and famine in twelve countries in Africa and South America. In Ireland they work with refugees and asylum seekers as well as caring for the Sisters who have returned after a lifetime of service on the missions.

•We thank you for last weeks Offertory Collection which amounted to €1,595 and the Share Collection which amounted to €1,191. Next weekend’s Share Collection will be replaced by a collection in support of Dublin Diocesan students who are preparing for Ordination to the Priesthood.
•The Prayer Group will not meet on Bank Holiday Monday, May 4th.
•We remind parishioners to return their Trocaire Lenten boxes either directly to Trocaire or to the Parish Office.
•We wish to thank those of those of you who have already returned your Easter Dues. These donations, together with contributions to the Family Offering, will be acknowledged at the end of the financial year.

•On next Thursday, May 7th, there will be a Tea Morning in the Parish Centre in aid of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. All welcome to attend.
•The Milltown Parish Art Group would like to thank all who supported their first exhibition. It was a terrific success and will possibly become an annual event!
•We wish to inform parishioners that Margaret Griffin’s time on our FAS Community Employment Project will cease in early May. The Parish was very fortunate to have Margaret in this position which was fully funded by FAS for the last 4 years. We are very pleased to announce that Margaret will not be leaving the Parish as she has accepted an offer of paid employment in the Parish Centre on Sunday mornings. A new FAS Community Employment Participant has been selected to replace Margaret. He will commence working in the Parish Centre in early May.
•We wish to remind parents that there will be NO Mother & Toddler gathering on Friday May 15th.
•The Milltown Parish Active Retirement Group will have their “Gentle activity to Music” session in the Parish Pastoral Centre at 10.30am on next Tuesday, 5th of April. All members are encouraged to attend.

•This weekend, the Milltown Parish Art Group are holding an exhibition of their paintings in the Parish Centre. These painting will remain on display next week. The Art Group will donate 20% of their sales to Parish finances.
•The Parish Liturgy Group will meet in the Parish Centre on Tuesday next, April 28th at 8pm.
•We wish to thank those of those of you who have already returned your Easter Dues. These donations, together with contributions to the Family Offering, will be acknowledged at the end of the current financial year.

•The local Focolaire Community are endeavouring to set up a Children’s Singing Group in the parish. This group will participate in the 10am mass on the 2nd & 3rd Sunday of each month. Parents who are interested in their children becoming involved with this singing group should speak to one of the organisers after Mass.
•The Milltown Parish Active Retirement Group have organised a talk on the Society of St. Vincent De Paul which will take place in the Parish Centre on Tuesday next, April 22nd at 2.30pm. All welcome to attend.
•Next weekend, 25th & 26th of April, the Milltown Parish Art Group will hold an exhibition of their paintings in the Parish Centre. These painting will remain on display during the following week. The Art Group will donate 20% of their sales to Parish finances.
•Our Parish Flower Arrangers Guild urgently requires some new members. Please contact the Parish office if you are interested in becoming a member of this ministry. If required, new members will receive training.
•A Callanetics class (exercise based on ballet and yoga) has commenced on Wednesday mornings in the Parish Centre. This is the only Callanetics Evolution class in Ireland and is renowned for the fast results it gives. Please contact: 087-9242438 or callaneticsireland@hotmail.com
•The Coombe’s, Women’s & Infants University Hospital will hold a Memorial Service for Parents whose babies have died within the last year. This will be held in the Church of Our Lady of Dolours, Dolphin’s Barn on Sunday the 26th April, at 3.00pm.

•We thank you for last weeks Offertory Collection which amounted to €1,300 and the Share Collection which amounted to €885.
•The annual outdoor Saint Vincent De Paul Advocate Collection will take place this weekend.
•We offer our condolences to Mgr. Tom Stack and the O’Byrne family on the death of their aunt, Cella O’Byrne. Cella’s funeral Mass took place here on Monday last.
•Finn Carton, Nicole O’Beirne and Robert Lonergan were baptised here on Saturday. We welcome them into our Christian community and congratulate their parents.

•There will be a 6pm Mass on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday evenings during Lent.
•We wish to offer our condolences to the families of the late Teresa Maroney, and Patricia O’Rourke, who’s funeral Masses took place here during the week.
•Pupils from Alexandra College who will be confirmed this May will participate in a ‘Service of Light’ in the Parish church at 8pm. on Thursday March 26th.
•The Trocaire Lenten Campaign for 2009 is focused on displacement in Somalia. There are Trocaire boxes available at the back of the church. Please collect one for your home today.
•We wish to draw your attention to the brochure containing information on our parish’s Child Protection Policy. This publication is available at the entrance doors to the Church, on the Church bookrack and in the Parish Pastoral Centre. We urge parents, who have not as yet collected a copy of this important publication, to take one home with them today. A full copy of the Child Protection Policy is available in the Parish Office and can be viewed on the parish website.
•Please let the Parish office know of any parishioners who may wish to have Holy Communion brought to them in their home.

•The Active Retirement Group have also organised a trip to the National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks on Tuesday March 24th at 11.30am. There is no charge for this trip. If you wish to partake in this trip you should meet at Collins Barracks at 11.30am. The Red Luas line runs past Collins Barracks. You can get the Red Luas outside Wynns Hotel in Lower Abbey Street. The Parish Mission and Celebration of Hope will continue this Wednesday evening, March 25th, at 8pm. This will be the fourth and final evening of the programme. The topic for this Wednesday is “Forgiveness- A Way Forward”. Members of the Mission Team will speak at all Masses on Saturday and Sunday 28th and 29th of March. The Mission is been conducted by members of The Ember Team, all of whom are trained in the Vincentian tradition
