Parish Centre Activities

Milltown Parish Centre

Art
We are pleased to announce the return of Art teacher Aidan Gaffney at 7.30 on Tuesday 16th October at 7.30pm. This series of classes will be for 5 weeks and will cost €50.

Bethany Group
The parish’s new Bethany Group will commence on Monday, October 15th at 7.00pm. The aim of the Bethany Bereavement support group is to provide support to the bereaved and those suffering loss of any kind. Further details of this meeting are on the Parish notice boards.

Bridge
Paul Hanratty has re-commenced Bridge classes. These are Improvers Classes on Bidding and Play. They take place in the parish Centre at 10.30 am on Monday morning.
There is also a weekly Duplicate Competition on Wednesday evenings.


Citizen Information
On Wednesday mornings at 10am until 1.00pm a trained Citizen Information provider is available in the Parish centre. No appointment is necessary to avail of these of these services.



Creative Dance for the over 50’s
This afternoon is also sponsored by Dublin City Council. It will take place on Monday December 3rd at 3.30pm in the Parish Centre. The tutor for this course is Sascha Perfect. The maximum number of participants is 25 so it is advisable to book your place on this course as soon as possible. This Booking form is also in the Parish Centre.


Crochet Classes
On Thursday mornings at 10.30am a group of friendly industrious parishioners come together to learn crochet. All welcome to attend!

Cupla Focal
We are pleased to announce the return of our Friday morning Irish conversation group on Friday October 12th at 10.30am. The emphasis of this group is on conversation in Irish. It is suitable for beginners, those with little knowledge of Irish and those who wish to refresh their Irish vocabulary.



Digital Photography Course
Dublin City Council will sponsor a 1day course on Digital Photography on Saturday November 3rd at 11am – 4pm in The Parish Centre. The tutor is Sinead Murphy. As there are only 15 places on this course we recommend that you place your name on the booking form, in the Parish centre, as soon as possible.


Liturgy Course
The Dublin Diocesan Liturgical Resource Centre have organised a 12 week Introduction to Liturgy Course for the Donnybrook and Dun Laoghaire Deaneries. The first 6 weeks of this course will be held here in Milltown, the second 6 weeks will be in Kill off the Grange Parish Centre. We encourage parishioners to attend this course. Further details are available in the Parish Centre.



Dates for your diary!

Milltown Parish Flower Guild:
The members of the Parish Flower Guild have kindly agreed to host a demonstration of Christmas Flower arranging on Friday, November 23rd.Dublin.
Milltown Parish Active Retirement Dinner
The Parish’s Active Retirement group will have their 3rd Annual Christmas Dinner in the Castle Golf Club on December 1st. Tickets for this cost €35 and bookings may be made in the Parish Centre.



Programme for New Centre

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have not yet moved into our new Parish Centre. As soon as we are installed in our new Centre we will arrange the Friday morning’s Mother and Toddler Group, Cookery Demonstrations and a Book Club. We also look forward to the return of our Yoga Class.
