Twenty Second Sunday in Ordinary Time


• We thank you for last weeks Offertory Collection which amounted to €1,253 and the Share Collection which amounted to € 893.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place in our parish for one hour after the 10am Mass's on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday mornings.

• Please let one of the Priests, the Sacristans or the Parish Office know of any parishioners who may wish to receive Holy Communion in their home.

• We wish to remind parishioners that the Parish Pastoral Centre is open for tea and coffee after weekdays and Sunday morning Masses.

• We have been informed of a Senior Help Line which provides a confidential listening service for older people. This service is funded by the H.S.E. and is open every day from 10am till 4pm and 7pm till 10pm 365 days a year. You can contact this helpline by calling Lo Call 1850440444.

• The Parish Centre’s Autumn Programme will be circulated to all homes in the parish during the coming week. Please contact the parish office if you do not receive a copy of this publication.

• The Milltown Parish Active Retirement Group will have their “Gentle activity to Music” session in the Parish Pastoral Centre this Tuesday morning at 10.30am. All members of the Active Retirement Group are encouraged to attend.

• The Art Group will return to the parish Centre at 7.30pm on Tuesday evening next. New members are always welcome to attend.

• The Adult and Toddler group will recommence on Friday morning next at 10.30am.

• The Milltown Parish Knitting Group will commence a knitting course on Tuesday week, Sept. 8th at 10.45am. This new course will cater for people with all levels of experience. It will cost €40 for an 8 week course. For further details please contact Liz at 087, 2876907.

• Liz Wall, Hon. Sec. of the Irish Countrywomen’s Association will visit Milltown Parish Centre on Thursday week, Sept. 10th at 8pm. The purpose of her visit is to see if a sufficient number of parishioners are interested in setting up a Milltown Guild of the I.C.A. We encourage all who are interested in joining this group to attend the meeting.

• It is proposed to run a Christmas Craft Fair in the Parish Centre on November the 29th next. Please contact the Parish Office if you are interested in becoming involved with this project.

• The Callanetics class (exercise based on ballet and yoga) will recommence on Wednesday mornings in the Parish Centre. This is the only Callanetics Evolution class in Ireland and is renowned for the fast results it gives. Please contact: 087-9242438 or callaneticsireland@hotmail.com.

•We thank you for last weeks Offertory Collection which amounted to €1143 and the Share Collection which amounted to €722.

•There will be a meeting of the Parish Social Justice Group on Thursday next, August 20th at 8pm in the Parish Centre. New members are welcome to attend.

•The Parish Office will be closed this Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.

•The Friday morning Mother & Toddler Group has taken a break for the summer. They will reconvene on Friday Sept. 4th at 10.30.

•If you are aware of any parishioner who may wish to receive Holy Communion in their home please collect one of the cards at the back of the church and return it to the parish with their contact details on it.
