Weekly Bulletin 13th & 14th April

Baptism pilot programme.
On Easter Sunday I wrote about the Pilot programme for Baptism. Here are some of the details that we hope to follow. It will be slightly different for each of the Parishes involved. We hope to do as much as we can in Milltown.
The first meeting involves Meeting and welcoming the parents who are presenting a child for baptism. Each family will have a ‘companion’ from the parish Baptism Team who will be their point of contact through the process.
Preparing the Sunday Mass community to welcome the new members who will be baptised (Sundays April 14, 21).
•At our Mass on April 28, the families will be introduced to and welcomed by the community.
•At our Mass on May 5, the families will again be present, as we all reflect together on the meaning of baptism.
•Over these two weeks and the following week, the parents will take part together in three one-hour sessions. These are designed to support and empower them in their role of accompanying their child on the journey of faith.
•Celebration of Baptism at our Mass on Sunday May 19, the Feast of Pentecost.
