Weekly Bulletin 1st & 2nd June

Thank you for the €1,186 which you donated to last Sunday’s collection for the Support of Priests of the Parish (& Dioceses) and for the Share Collection which amounted to €915.

CORPUS CHRISTI
Children from our parish who have received their First Holy Communion in other churches this year are particularly welcome at today’s 10am Mass. Their attendance provides an opportunity for our parish community to congratulate and cherish these young parishioners who recently celebrated the beginning of a significantly closer relationship with Christ and our community.

Pope Francis will participate in a period of Eucharistic Adoration which will be televised for the first time throughout the world today as the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) is celebrated. Every parish is encouraged by Pope Francis to have a time of Eucharistic Devotion on this day. With this in mind, today, we will have a half hour of Eucharistic Adoration in our parish church from 1 – 1.30pm.

Perhaps you might like to participate in a Corpus Christi Procession which will assemble at Clonskeagh Church today at 12 .30pm. This assembly will process to Our Lady's Grotto in the Marist Fathers, Mount St. Mary’s, Dundrum Road where Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament will take place. Weather permitting light refreshments will be served in the grounds of Mount St. Mary's after the procession. All are welcome to participate in this event!

Next Friday, June 7th is the First Friday of the month. The 10am Mass on the day will be offered for all who are recently deceased and those whose names are on the Altar List of the Dead.

Reception of Holy Communion Under Both Kinds:
On some occasions throughout the liturgical year, Holy Communion is offered under both kinds. We invite those who wish to receive Communion under both kinds not to dip their Host into the chalice out of care for those with a gluten intolerance for whom cross-contamination can be very painful.

On Saturday, 8th June, various Pro-Life Groups will be holding a second Pro-Life Rally in Merrion Square in Dublin, from 15.00 to 16,00. As on the previous occasion Archbishop Diarmuid Martin will preside at a Prayer Service for Life in Saint Andrew’s Church Westland Row from 13.30 to 14.30.

Celebration of Marriage:
Couples who are celebrating significant wedding anniversaries (25th, 40th, 50th & 60th) this year are invited to attend the 11.30am Mass on next Sunday, June 9th. Please contact Fr. Philip if you would like to participate in this parish celebration.

Parish Census:
Parishioners are requested to return their completed Census Form to the Parish. Returning a completed form will mean that a parish representative will not have to call to your home in the autumn.

Have you ever attended Mass on holidays abroad and not have access to the readings of the day? With this situation in mind we invite parishioners to collect a copy of the weekly Mass sheet/s from the Sacristy to bring with them when they are travelling abroad to a non-English speaking country.
