May 1st & 2nd 2010, – 5th Sunday of Easter
• We thank you for last Sunday’s Offertory Collection of €1,223 and the Share Collection which amounted to €895.
• The Share collection at all Masses this weekend will be replaced by the annual collection for the support of Dublin diocesan students preparing for Ordination to the Priesthood.
• There will be a church gate collection for the Holy Rosary Missionaries – Killeshandra Sisters, after all Masses next weekend, May 8th & 9th.
• We offer our condolences to the family of Denise Dowling whose funeral Mass took place here during the week.
• Cillian Degraeve, Elizabeth Allen and Dylan O’Sullivan were baptised in our church this weekend. We welcome them into our Christian community and congratulate their parents.
• Parents of children receiving their First Holy Communion may be interested in a booklet called “My Child’s First Communion” which is available on the church bookrack.
• The Milltown Parish Active Retirement Group will be having their ‘Gentle Activity to Music’ session in the Parish Pastoral Centre after 10am mass on Tuesday next May 4th.
• There are Easter, Confirmation and First Holy Communion cards for sale in the Parish Centre.
• We wish to remind parishioners that the Parish Pastoral Centre is open for Tea/Coffee every weekday and Sunday morning. Do drop in to meet some of your fellow parishioners.
• Details of the Dublin Diocesan Young Adult Pilgrimage to Taize (July 11–18) are on the Church notice boards. Please contact the Parish Office if you are interested in travelling with this group. The Parish is offering financial assistance to a parishioner who wishes to participate in this Diocesan Pilgrimage.
• The Parish Library, which is located in the Parish Pastoral Centre, is now open from 10am to 1pm on weekday mornings and also on Sunday mornings. Other times on request.
• The Adult and Toddler group continue to meet in the Parish Pastoral Centre at 10.30am, on Fri. mornings.
A Milltown Parish Pilgrimage to the Holy Land will take place from October 13th – October 22nd. Flight will go direct from Dublin. Further details of this Pilgrimage are on the Parish Notice Boards. If you are interested in this visit to the Holy land please call:
