Weekly Bulletin 30th & 31st October

We thank you for last Sunday’s Offertory Collection of €1,048 and the Mission Sunday Collection which amounted to €2,705.

Altar List of the Dead
Traditionally in November, when each year we pray for our dead, Churches enrol the names of your family, relatives and friends who have departed this life on an annual ‘Altar List of the Dead’. There are envelopes available on the tables beside the entrance doors to the church if you wish to complete your Altar List of the Dead and return them to the church.

The annual November Mass for parishioners who died during the last year will take place on next Saturday evening, Nov. 6th at 6pm. We invite the bereaved and their families to refreshments in the Parish Pastoral Centre after Mass.

We wish to remind parishioners that the Parish Pastoral Centre is open for Tea/Coffee every weekday and Sunday morning. Do drop in to meet some of your fellow parishioners.

We wish to congratulate Colman Scott who was elected as the representative of the Donnybrook Deanery on the proposed interim Diocesan Pastoral Council. We wish Colman every blessing in this new undertaking.

Next Monday, November 1st is the Feast of All Saints. Masses will be at 10am, 11.30am & 5.30pm.

At 8pm on Monday evening the Parish Baptism Team will meet with the parents of children who are to be baptised on next Saturday.

The Parish Pastoral Council will meet at 8pm on Tuesday next, Nov. 2nd.

Ruth from ‘Kitchen Greenie’ will be holding a one hour demonstration on how to encourage you and your children eat more greens, have more energy, sleep better and feel more alive. This demonstration will take place at 6.30pm in the Parish Pastoral Centre on Tuesday next , November 2nd. Cost €5 per person

The organising committee of the Christmas Craft Fair will meet in the Parish Pastoral Centre at 7pm on next Thursday evening, Nov. 4th.

We wish to remind parents that an Adult & Toddler Group meets in the Parish Pastoral centre at 10.30am on Friday mornings.

The Milltown Guild of the I.C.A. will continue their ‘Thursday Craft Morning’ at 10am in the Parish Pastoral Centre. This gathering will provide an opportunity for craft workers to share their creative talents. New members are welcome to join this group.

Niamh Doody, (who many of you will remember from her Sunday morning voluntary work in the Parish Pastoral Centre) will be having an outdoor collection after all masses next weekend for the Hope Foundation. Niamh, and some other students from Alexandra College, will travel to Calcutta where they will be working in an orphanage helping to better the lives of the children there.

Afternoon of Prayer for vocations to priesthood and religious life: 31st October in the Oratory at Clonliffe College, Clonliffe Road Dublin 3. Commencing 2.00pm and concluding with Mass at 4.30pm. Celebrant: Fr Eamonn Bourke, Diocesan Director of Vocations and Chief Chaplain to St Joseph's Young Priests Society. All welcome, so please invite your friends along. Phone enquiries (01) 493 8965.

The Dublin County Choir is holding a concert of much loved music including John Rutter: Requiem. Also works by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Franz Lehar, Giuseppi Verdi, Leonard Cohen etc. The concert is in support of St. Vincent de Paul. Venue: St. John the Evangelist Church, Ballinteer. Date: 6th November 2010 at 8.00 pm. Tickets €15 – available from Parish Office (4994203), choir members or at the Church on the night.

COMMUNION IN THE HOME
We invite parishioners to inform the priests if any members of their families or neighbours who may be housebound and would wish the Eucharist to be taken to them periodically.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
Takes place in the parish church between 10.30 and 11.30am on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday morning.

B.E. – Beginning Experience:
