Weekly Bulletin 27th & 28th November

We thank you for last Sunday’s Offertory Collection of €1,284 and the Share Collection which amounted to €1048.

Congratulations to Adrian Tonge & Fergal Norris whose wedding took place in our church last weekend. We wish them happy lives together.

Altar List of the Dead.
There are envelopes available on the tables beside the entrance doors to the church if you wish to complete your Altar List of the Dead and return them to the church.

Our Christmas Craft and Home Produce Fair takes place this Sunday, Nov. 28th. The Fair will be open between 10am and 2pm in the Parish Pastoral Centre. Please drop in and support this event. All proceeds are donated to parish finances.

DUBLIN CITY SENIOR CITIZENS DAY
is on Monday Nov. 29th. It is a day when senior citizens from all over Ireland are welcome into their capital city. For further details please see the Parish Notice Boards and www.dublincityseniorcitizensday.ie.


PARISH ADVENT PROGRAMME
‘Advent People through Art’
Dr. Eileen Kane, a member of the Dublin Diocesan Commission for Sacred Art & Architecture will present a series of 3 Advent talks in the Parish Pastoral Centre. The first of these talks will take place on Monday next, Nov. 29th at 8pm and will continue on the 6th and 13th Nov.. All welcome to attend.

The Parish Baptism Team will meet with parents of children who are to be baptised in our church on Sat. Dec. 4th .This meeting will take place on Monday Nov. 29th at 8pm.

Valerie Mc Coy and her ‘Gentle Activity to Music’ class will return to the Parish Pastoral Centre on Tuesday Nov. 30th at 10.30am. New members are welcome to join in this Milltown Parish Active Retirements Group’s activity.

Aware 10km Christmas Run will take place in the Phoenix Park Dublin on December 11th at 10am. Registration for the run is €20.00 and you can sign up on line before Dec. 2nd http://www.aware.ie/events/register/aware10k.php please note that online registration closes on 2nd December.

An Introduction to Church Music of Advent with Tim Thurston (of Gloria fame on RTE Lyric FM), will take place at St. Fergal’s Church, Bray on Wed. 1st Dec. at 8.00p.m. This event is organised by Bray Churches Together.

A National Christmas Youth Retreat will take place in Newbridge College on Friday 17th Dec.– Sunday 19th Dec. Further details are available www.youth2000.ie

The Parish Adult & Toddler Group meets in the Parish Pastoral centre at 10.30am on Friday mornings.

Christmas with the Palestrina Choir:

Light up a Life 2010
Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, Harold’s Cross will have their annual Light up a Life - Ceremony of Remembrance on Sunday December 5th at 4pm.

The Milltown Parish Active Retirement Group is now taking bookings for their Annual Christmas Dinner which will be held in Milltown Golf Club on Dec. 11th. Further details on Parish Notice Boards

A Christmas Flower Demonstration will take place in the Parish Pastoral Centre at 10.30 am on Thur. Dec. 16th

A ‘Craft Morning’ takes place in the Parish Pastoral Centre at 10.30 on Thursday mornings. This gathering provides an opportunity for all who knit, sew, crochet or whatever, to share their creative talents.
New members welcome.

The Church Book Rack has been replenished and now has some informative & interesting publications for sale.

The Rathmines Women’s Refuge on Lr. Rathmines Rd. (opposite Rathmines Church) urgently requires ladies and children’s clothing, bedding and toys. Please consider dropping some of these items into the Refuge, your donations will be very much appreciated.

The Parish Pastoral Centre is open for Tea/Coffee every weekday and Sunday morning. Do drop in to meet some of your fellow parishioners.

Pastoral Co-Ordinator Vacancy:
The Office of Evangelisation is recruiting a pastoral co-ordinator on a two year fixed term contract. You may know of a person who may be interested and qualified for this role and it would be appreciated if you would refer them to the advertisement. COMMUNION IN THE HOME
We invite parishioners to inform the priests if any members of their families or neighbours who may be housebound and would wish the Eucharist to be taken to them periodically.
