Thank you for last Sunday’s Offertory Collection and the Share Collection
The proceeds of the collection at Mass on Holy Thursday will be donated to Japan.

Please return your filled Trocaire boxes to the Sacristy. Your contributions will be forwarded to Trocaire who will help families in Honduras who are defenceless against powerful landowners. These families live their lives subjected to threats, intimidation and violence, simply because they are poor and voiceless.

On this Tuesday evening, May 3rd, the Parish Baptism Team will meet with parents of children who are to be baptised in our church during the month of May.

A 3 night series of Radharc Films will commence in the Parish Pastoral Centre on Thursday May 5th and will continue on Thursday May 12th & May 19th. All invited to attend.

This Friday, May 6th is the First Friday of the month. The 10am Mass on the day will be offered for all who are recently deceased and those whose names are on the Parish Altar list of the Dead

Next Sunday’s 10am Mass is part of the ‘Do this in Memory of Me’ programme for children who will be receiving their First Holy Communion in Milltown Parish Church on Saturday, May 14th.

An outdoor collection for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind Association will take place after all Masses next weekend. Your support will be very much appreciated.

Parish volunteers who have received copies of a Garda Vetting Form are asked to return these completed forms to Fr. Bradley as soon as possible.

Gardiner St Church Event: Thurs May 5th at 7.30 p.m. Anthony de Mello: His Contribution to Spirituality with Fr. Tom Casey SJ and Margaret Brennan Hassett who will present their understanding of de Mello’s contribution to prayer and spirituality with reference also to Vatican difficulties with his works. Donations welcome, convivial cuppa to follow

A Photographic Exhibition in aid of the Carers Association will open on Friday 13th May in the Parish Pastoral Centre. This exhibition will display photographs taken by Maureen Mc. Donnell who is a member of the Royal Photographic Society. The Carer’s Association represents a large number of carers who give voluntary care to their loved ones who are elderly and frail, seriously ill people, those with disabilities and children with special needs. Do drop into the centre during the weekend of May 13th to view these wonderful photographs. Framed copies of the Artists work will be available for sale at the exhibition.

The Parish Bethany Bereavement Support Group has invited Maeve Douglas who is a psychotherapist and Bereavement Counselor, to speak in the Parish Pastoral Centre. This talk will take place on Monday May 23rd at 8pm. All are welcome to attend.

The Parish Pastoral Centre is open for Tea/Coffee every weekday and Sunday morning. Do drop in to meet some of your fellow parishioners.

World Youth Day will take place in Madrid in August. If you are aged between 18 – 25 and are interested in taking part in this event, please contact one of the priests in the Parish. Milltown Parish is willing to help sponsor a young parishioner who would like to attend this event. If there are no applicants from this parish consideration will be given to sponsoring a young person from some other parish.

PIETA HOUSE: DARKNESS INTO LIGHT 5K EVENT will be held on Saturday 7th May, in the Phoenix Park Dublin. Registration is on line (darknessintolight.pieta.ie) or by post to Pieta House, Lucan Rd. Lucan, Co. Dublin. This is a symbolic event to give hope to those affected by Suicide and Self-Harm. Get involved, Have some Fun, Make a Difference.

The Cor na Nog choir will sing at the 11.30 am Mass on Sunday May 22nd.

Crosscare Drug and Alcohol Programme: If someone you love is having difficulties with alcohol, drugs, gambling, internet and you feel isolated and alone dealing with this, we can help support you. Crosscare Drug and Alcohol Programme (DAP) is hosting a

The Parish Adult & Toddler Group meet in the Parish Pastoral Centre at 10.30am on Friday mornings.
