This weekend the parish is again hoping to recruit 10 volunteers for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress which will take place in Dublin from the 10th to the 17th June 2012. With this in mind there are 2 parishioners located at the church doors that will take your name and telephone number if you are interesting in registering as a volunteer.
Volunteers urgently needed for the Congress. Between two and three thousand volunteers will be needed during the week of the Congress and also to assist in preparations in the months leading up to the Congress. The Congress is now recruiting volunteers for a wide range of roles such as administration, data entry, stewards, marketing, transport, meet & greet multimedia, pastoral preparation and much more!
The first training session for volunteers will take place on Saturday the 19th November in the RDS, with a repeat session on Monday 28th Nov. at 7.30pm., so a speedy response is required!
Volunteers must be aged over 18 on the 1st of January 2011. Groups of young people over 16 years accompanied by a guardian are also welcome to apply as volunteers. All Congress volunteers must also be resident on the island of Ireland.
