Weekly Bulletin 9th & 10th June

Equality of the Sexes
I picked up a recent article from the internet about the advantages of being a man. It’s quite funny, but as usual it also has a lot to say.
• Your last name stays put.
• The garage is yours.
• Wedding plans take care of themselves.
• Car mechanics tell you the truth.
• You don’t care if no-one notices your new haircut.
• Same work.....more pay.
• Your pals can be trusted never to trap you with “So, notice anything different?”
• New shoes don’t cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
• One mood, all the time.
• Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
• A week’s holiday requires one suitcase.
• You can leave the hotel bed unmade.
• Yon don’t have to clean the house/apartment if the maid is coming.
• You can drop by to see a friend without having to bring ‘a little gift’.
• You can quietly watch a football game with a friend for hours without thinking “He must be mad at me”.
• You almost never have strap problems in public.
• The same hairstyle last years, maybe decades.
• You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives, on Dec 24th, in 45 minutes.
Have you recognised yourself: be you man or woman!?
How did you get there? What keeps you there? Do you want to change? And if so, how can you?
Fr. Philip Adm (Still musing!)

CHURCH SPEAKERS IN THE PARISH CENTRE
It’s a pity to see parents with their children standing in the porch during Mass. Why not pop over to the Parish Pastoral Centre if you feel your children need a little break? With the help of our newly installed speakers you will still be able to hear what is happening in the church. Feel free to return to the church after your children have had a little break.
Fr. Philip Bradley
