Weekly Bulletin 18th & 19th February 2012

PARISH LENTEN PROGRAMME
The Enneagram is a study of 9 personality types. There are different names given to the different types e.g. Perfectionist, Status seeker, Loyalist, Carer etc. It is a way of getting to know yourself better; getting to know what makes you tick, what gives you energy or robs the energy/passion from you. It also shows how different types might clash and the negative side of the personality types. It is Lent after all! So we can learn about our Negative side and transform it. This course will be held at 8pm on the following 4 Monday nights: 27th February, 5th March, 12th March, and the 26th March. If you sign up you need to be able to attend the entire course. People who have done the Enneagram before are welcome also! We suggest a once off donation of €10.

Thank you for the €1296 which you donated to last Sunday’s collection for the Support of Priests of the Dioceses and for the Accord Collection which amounted to €2,898.

Condolences to the families and friends of the late George Mc. Inerney, Dermot Murphy and Nicholas Staunton whose Funeral Masses took place here last week.

The February meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council took place on Tuesday last. At the meeting it was agreed that in preparation for the I.E.C. that an ‘Evening of Prayer & Reflection’ will take place on Monday, April 30th. We have been informed of 2 house burglaries in our parish over the last week, one where the O.A.P. was forced to hand over cash. With this in mind we ask parishioners to keep a more careful watch than usual on their own, and their neighbor’s properties, particularly the elderly members of our community.
